About Us
C & L Paint Horses was established in 2002, when mother; Louise Tippins and daughter; Cherie Blossfield joined forces. Both Cherie and Louise have been active in the horse industry since 1968, and acquired their 1st Paint in 1972, a black and white gelding named “Tiger’s Beau.” By 1973 Cherie was actively showing on the Paint and Pinto circuit, winning numerous awards the most prestigious being the 1975 National Champion Sr. Western Pleasure award. Along the way they acquired their two original mares, Royal Valentine by Drum’s Royal Arts and Leo’s Delta Dawn a cropout. Through the years they have continued to breed their mares to produce foals that are money and point earners.
C & L Paint Horses is now in it's 6th generation of foals derived from the original two mares and are still winning!
Cherie and Louise have found that they enjoy raising and showing Halter and Longe line futurity prospects and winners. Occasionally they will show a 2 yr old Pleasure horse, but have found that due to time and financial constraints, is it better to have others continue with the Performance horses.
C & L Paint Horses is located on approximately 5 acres in Southern California. Watch for Cherie and Louise. They can usually be found showing at the larger Western States shows.
